COBA
Cobá - beautiful and mysterious - was one of the largest of the Maya Ceremonial Cities, surrounded by five big lagoons and covered by an impressive natural jungle (its name means "ruffled waters"). It has the Pyramid Nohoch-Mul, 45 meters high, making it the tallest pyramid in the Yucatán Peninsula. Cobá is known for its extraordinary Mayan engineering which allowed them to make the “Sak-Be” (White Roads). These roads are especially important because we now know they connect Chichen Itzá, Yaxuna, and Cobá with more than 250 kilometers of roads. Both, the tallest pyramid and the greatest concentration of "Sak-Be" suggest Cobá was a major city - yet it was not discovered until the late 19th century. Even today, only a small fraction of the many structures in this vast site have been excavated and this, together with the remoteness and jungle setting, contribute to the feeling of exploring new ground.
In ancient legend, before this modern time, the Maya said that a channel of energy existed that connected the Mayan priests with the Sky and it was called Kuxan-Zuun, a living cord that unites man with God.
The Maya say that it is the “Sak-Be” that maintains their closeness to their ancestors so that they themselves today can continue the ancient customs and traditions.

EK BALAM
This extraordinary Sacred Site is dedicated to the energy of the Jaguar – Star. Ek Balam is full of special temples and sweat lodges with five Sak-Be (white roads) which connect the city with the five cardinal points.
One of the most beautiful and impressive friezes is found on the fourth level of the North Palace Temple at Ek Balam. In 1999 two Yucatecan archeologists discovered the Mayan Angels, statues with wings on their back. In all they discovered seven stucco figures in different positions, two of them with wings.
Ek Balam is a Sacred Site where the Mayan prophecy of 2012 is to take place with “the return of the Balameb”, teachers from the sky who return to the Earth.
Many extraordinary surprises are still waiting for us at Ek Balam.

MUYIL
This Mayan Ceremonial Center is placed in the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve. It was one of the commercial ports in this Maya area together with Xcaret, Paamul, Xaac, and Yalku which allowed the Mayas to achieve many cultural and commercial exchanges.
Muyil has a beautiful Mayan pyramid, 17 meters tall, with a chamber that still contains a painted mural in its interior.
In Muyil we unite with the essence of the water, the jungle, the animals, the sun, and the earth. In this marvelous place the Mayans achieved contact with Mother Water and all living creatures of the jungle.

CHICHEN ITZA
One of the most important Sacred Maya Sites in the Maya world, Chichen Itzá is also one of the largest with more than 1,000 pyramids and temples inside it. Chichen Itzá was known as the “Sacred City” visited by Mayans to have their knowledge of science, art, philosophy, and religion reconfirmed by the Mayan priests.
Chichen Itzá is the Mayan Cosmic University. Here you will admire the pyramid, KuKuulKaan, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The Mayan calendars, Tzolkin and Haab, as well as the 52 year Pleiades Constellation cycle are all contained within the structure of this wonderful pyramid.
Chichen Itzá is the Heart of the Yucatán Peninsula and the most renowned Sacred Ceremonial Astronomical Center in the Mayab lands.
