GUIDING US THROUGH EGYPT

Hank Wesselman, Ph.D., is an anthropologist who holds advanced degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He served in the US Peace Corps in the 1960s, living and working among people of the Yoruba tribe in Western Nigeria, where he first became interested in indigenous spiritual traditions. Since 1971, he has conducted field research with an international group of scientists, exploring eastern Africa's Great Rift Valley in search of answers to the mystery of human origins--scientific investigation that has allowed him to spend much of his life living and working with traditional peoples, rarely, if ever, visited by outsiders. He is also a shamanic teacher and healer now in the 26th year of his apprenticeship. Dr Wesselman has taught for the University of California at San Diego, the University of Hawaii at Hilo's West Hawaii campus, California State University at Sacramento, American River College, Sierra College, as well as for Kiriji Memorial College and Adeola Odutola College in western Nigeria. His published books include Spirit Medicine: Healing in the Sacred Realms (2004, with Jill Kuykendall), The Journey to the Sacred Garden (2003), as well as his autobiographical trilogy: Spiritwalker (1995), Medicinemaker (1998), and Visionseeker (2001). Hank is also the author of a children's book: The Story of Little Ruth Reddingford and the Wolf. www.sharedwisdom.com

She also holds a degree in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. Jill worked in a cute-care rehabilitation and home health within the standard medical paradigm for most of the past 25 years and is currently in private practice, specializing in a transpersonal healing modality called soul retrieval. She is the author (with her husband Hank Wesselman) of Spirit Medicine: Healing in the Sacred Realms.
